Product Owner


 

Accountabilities:
 

  • Products vision and mission

  • Product profit and loss

  • Product scope, budget, and time

  • Product innovation and development

  • Customer journey and experience

  • Product end to end support (operations) 

  • Product regulatory compliance

 

Responsibilities:
 

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, users, and customers to understand their needs and translate them into product requirements

  • Develop and align user stories for internal BA use

  • Anticipate the needs of the client(s) by ensuring that you keep yourself up to date with market trends, industry standards, and end user behaviors

  • Create and maintain the client/customer journey map focusing on giving the best customer experience

  • Define the vision and mission for the product

  • Create and maintain the product strategy and road map

  • Work with the Scrum Team to manage, prioritize, and evaluate product development, progress, and backlogs in all stages

  • Create and maintain a product backlog for the use of the Scrum team and drive prioritization and sequence of development

  • Liaise with the product team and end-users to deliver status updates

  • Act as the primary liaison, communicator, and link between internal and external stakeholders and teams

  • Participate in Scrum meetings, product sprints, UAT, releases, demonstrations, etc.

  • Take the primary role of an inspector and evaluator of the products viability and usability.

  • Take the primary role of an approver to decide if the product meets the requirements or otherwise

  • Define and manage the P&L of the assigned product

  • Deliver monthly revenue forecasts and report to stake holders the product KPI statistics

  • Work with the marketing team to develop sales and marketing collaterals

  • Work with the legal team to analyze, comply, and establish necessary requirements to ensure the product meet regulatory requirements 

  • Ensure supporting operational teams are equipped to support the product and related services

Role Requirements:

  • Five or more years of experience in product development/management preferably from FinTech, Payments, Banking, E-Wallet or related industries 

  • In-depth knowledge of agile methodology for project management

  • Understanding of business value related to features and functions

  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills

  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills using systems thinking approach

  • Ability to effectively manage conflicting needs of stakeholders

 

Preferred skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)

  • Proficiency with applicable project management tools and technology

  • Proficiency with diagramming software (e.g., MS Visio, LucidChart etc.)

  • Proficiency in creating product documentations (e.g., competitive analysis, product strategy and vision, specs and product requirements (PRDs), OKRs, KPIs, success metrics, user journey and stories, etc.)
